About Speak Up Now

Speak Up rose from the immense feelings of helplessness, sadness, frustration, rage, and disappointment while bearing witness to the genocide and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people in Gaza and across the entire nation of occupied Palestine.

In response to one of my many emotional days, my grandmother said “don’t cry, paint Palestine.”

As a result, the original painting of “Speak Up”was created (acrylic paint on wood finished with resin).

Gaza has woken up and united the people across the world, so much so, that silence is no longer an option.  That silence in the face of genocide is complicity.

Those of us who are fortunate enough to be able to speak up, protest, organize and raise awareness in any form possible, and return to the safety of our homes, have an absolute duty and obligation to do so.

As a mother, I cannot love my own children and remain silent while witnessing the deliberate annihilation of others. How many more lives and limbs do we need to lose before Palestine is liberated?

We urge everyone to speak up, show up and stand up against Zionism, oppression, occupation, colonialism, imperialism, supremacy, injustice, inequality, violence, hatred, racism, and inhumanity.

Speak up for peace, justice, freedom, liberty and equality for every single living being across our planet.

SPEAK UP NOW!
